Troop helper
Do you want to enhance the lives of girls but don't feel ready for troop leadership? Serving as a troop helper allows you to become familiar with the Girl Scout program while you support an existing troop. Troops need assistance with everything from driving to paperwork to activities to camp-outs. This is a great introduction to volunteering with Girl Scouts! Begin making a difference today! Service unit opportunities
Service unit director
Lead and support the Girl Scout troop leaders in your geographic area. In conjunction with your service unit team, develop a plan to recruit and develop leaders, meet membership and Annual Fund goals and ensure our girl members grow to become leaders through quality programming in your area. Service unit registrar
Help get our girls (and adults) registered in Girl Scouting! Registration occurs year-round, but the fall and spring months are very active. Assist volunteers with registration, collect membership forms and dues and maintain records for the service unit. This is a critical position on the service unit team. Service unit Annual Fund chair
Provide training and support to troop Annual Fund chairpersons in your area by distributing campaign materials, attending parent meetings as needed and keeping records and reports. Service unit recognition chair
Educate the leaders and other volunteers in your area about Girl Scout awards and promote the nomination process so that our wonderful volunteers get the recognition they deserve. Coordinate and assist in the submission of complete applications to the council’s Adult Recognition Committee and help show our volunteers how much we appreciate them. Service unit Take Action chair
Help leaders develop safe and enriching service projects with their girls, locate area nonprofits that would be appropriate service opportunities and promote community service initiatives at service unit meetings. Trainer apprentice
Educate and support leaders in a wide variety of areas – from troop leadership to camping skills to songs and games. You can enhance your own facilitation skills while supporting volunteers as they learn about Girl Scouting. Lead workshops in your geographical area that suit your schedule and interests. Troop leader coach

Troop organizer
