American Girl Day
Enjoy activities inspired by your favorite American Girls! We’ll discover the games played in different periods, make crafts to take home and even bake a fun treat. Girls will also get a chance to visit the barn and go horseback riding, one of Felicity’s passions! Participants will need to bring a sack lunch.

American Girl Overnight
Enjoy activities inspired by your favorite American Girls! We’ll discover the games played in different periods in history, make crafts to take home and even bake a fun treat. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch, but dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday will be provided in the dining hall.

Christmas Past I
View trees decorated the way they did through different years of the Chieftains house. You will discover the wonder of the Trees for the Ridge Years, the Civil War, Victorian, 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. Also on exhibit will be period antique toys. You will hear how it was to have lived in those days, connect with other Girl Scouts to play some of the games popular then and make an old time decoration to take home! Take Action by bringing a new toy to donate to our Toy Drive project. This year we are teaming up with the local Fire Department to collect the toys and they will be there to talk about how you can take action and volunteer in your community.

Stars and Stripes I
The United States of America is a very special country. For hundreds of years, people from other countries have come to visit, live, or work here. The Southern Museum hosts wonderful displays of the Civil War era, and is home to the famous locomotive “The General”. Brownie Girl Scouts will tour the museum, discover fun flag facts, hear the exciting story of the Great Locomotive Chase that started in Kennesaw, and connect with their patriotism and sister Girl Scouts through a create your own flag craft project. Join us at the Southern Museum to celebrate what makes America special and earn the Wave the Flag Try It (available only on-line) Workshop activities are for Girl Scouts only, families may tour the museum separately. A local park is right across the street if you’d like to bring packed lunches.

Olden Days, Pioneer Ways
Come to the Stately Oaks Plantation and discover what life was like in the 1800’s. You will visit the Plantation House and many outdoor buildings that were used by the people of that era. Listen carefully to the stories of heroic people left behind at Stately Oaks during the Civil War, and connect with the times, by trying on hoop skirts, making a craft from the era, visiting the old fashioned School House, and even a Blacksmith Shop! You will earn your “Listening to the Past Try-It” which is included in the workshop.

Science In Your Life
Come learn about science in your life as girls go on a science and technology hunt. We will learn about gas, liquid and solids through making icky sticky glop. We'll also discover a way to blow up a balloon without using your mouth and how to disect light to discover the three primary colors and how they can be used to create other colors. The girls will earn the Science In Action Try It and they will receive it at this workshop. All participants need to bring a sack lunch.

Rainbow of Colors
The Booth Western Art Museum invites Girl Scout Brownies to come discover the colors of the Rainbow and fun shapes through exciting art projects, a tour of the Booth Museum, and a visit to Sagebrush Ranch. Girls will discover their abilities as they create beautiful projects and gain confidence in their artistic skills. The adult facilitators, mostly professional teachers, provide excellent tips and directions. Girl Scouts attending will connect with other Girl Scouts to share their creations and it’s meaning. The event starts at the Booth Western Art Museum and then Girl Scouts will walk a block to the Booth Art Academy in the TRC building, to do the hands-on art activities. The Colors and Shapes Try It is included. Please bring a packed lunch.

Book Arts: Paper Making and Bookbinding I
Discover the Robert C. Williams Paper Museum at Georgia Technical Institute to learn the skills of paper making and bookbinding! Connect with other Girl Scouts while you take a guided tour of the museum and learn about the history and see the tools used to make paper before trying your own hand at making paper. Take action as you create and bind your own journal to take home.

Brownie Adventure Overnight
Looking for a great first time camping experience to discover the outdoors? Join us at Timber Ridge where girls will spend one night at camp and experience favorite camp activities including hiking, crafts, games and more. All meals will be provided in the dining hall, so all you have to worry about is ensuring your girls are having fun. Troops will be staying in cabins. Once the cabins are full then we will put you in tents based on training required (see below).
