Camp Pine Valley Troop camping
Currently registered Brownie, Junior,
Senior, Cadette and Ambassador Girl Scout troops are eligible to apply for overnight
camping at Camp Pine Valley. Girl Scout Daisy troops are not eligible for overnight
troop camping but they may participate in day-use activities. Special permission
may be granted for overnight Girl Scout Daisy family camping outings.
Check Safety-Wise for required adult to girl ratios and other essential information regarding troop/group camping - e.g. required adult training, first aider equirements, etc.

How to register for troop/group camping
Fall/Winter troop/group camping
Mail applications on or after
April 1 for Sept.–Feb. camp dates. You may request one site during
Sept.–Nov. and one during Dec.–Feb.. Not all campsites are available.

Dec. 1 for March–Aug. camp dates. You may request one site for
March–May and one for June–Aug. Site availability is limited June–Aug.

Due to the large demand for troop/group
camping, we process applications by mail
email or fax according to postmark date/date received for email and fax.
For April 1 and Dec. 1 postmark dates, received dates, the applications are placed
in a box and drawn randomly for processing.
Follow these guidelines for registration success:
- Carefully complete the Application for Troop/Group Camping.
- You will need to know the name of your adult-trained troop camper and first aider who will be going on the camping trip.
- Read the appropriate sections of Council Guide for Camping, Safety-Wise, and Outdoor Education in Girl Scouting.
- Go over health, safety and security guidelines with the girls and other adult campers.
- Don't forget to sign the application and print if mailing or type your name if submitting by email and print.
- Do not send money with your application unless specifically instructed to do so.
- Your confirmation packet will include a copy of the computer record, a payment coupon, inspection checklist, Council Camp Use Form, a letter about camp and a map to camp.
- If you must cancel your reservation, please notify the council as soon as possible so a troop may be placed from the waiting list. If you find you must cancel during the week you are scheduled to camp, call the ranger directly. CAMPS DO NOT CLOSE AND MONEY IS NOT REFUNDED BECAUSE OF RAIN. Include rainy day activities in your planning! In the event of severe weather, leaders should evaluate the driving conditions and determine whether they should wait until the next day to travel. The council will notify the leader of record if the camp closes for any reason – a full refund will be issued under these circumstances.

Refund policy
Tents and cabins: If written cancellation of a camp site reservation is received at least 30 days prior to your scheduled camp date and we are able to place a troop from a wait list, your entire payment will be refunded. Otherwise, half the amount of paid fees will be refunded. The deposit on cabins is non-refundable.
Some medical emergencies or certain other conditions might affect the terms of the refund policy. In such cases, the council property and risk manager will determine what, if any, terms will be adjusted.
